Our Founder
Heritage Homes Custom Builder is owned and operated by Brandan Hanz who has been creating a legacy of fine craftsmanship since 1997. Brandan graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice with a minor in mathematics. At a young age, he learned that his grandfather built the house he grew up in. When he was shown the original blueprints on blue paper with white lines, opposite of the white paper and blue lines of today, it “sparked” something in him that blossomed into his love for building homes and, to this day, he still has and cherishes that set of blueprints.
Throughout his extensive career, Brandan accumulated experience in home building by working in field operations, purchasing, and management environments for Princeton Classic Homes, Rialto Homes, and a regional custom home builder. His roles started at the bottom and progressed upward from customer service representative, builder, purchasing manager, project manager, area manager, and division president. All of these roles have given Brandan a deep understanding of the home-building industry and its products, processes, and most of all, customer satisfaction.
Brandan can take the ideas and concepts of the customer from conceptualization to reality and takes pride in creating a home that the customer will also be proud of. He loves taking on the challenges that are presented, working through them, and delivering quality solutions. He is an innovator who assesses projects in part or as a whole and understands each part's impact on another, adept at addressing solutions, and making the home-building process as smooth as possible.
Brandan is a proud descendant of one of the founding families of New Braunfels. As a long-time resident who loves New Braunfels, he is thankful for the opportunity to be entrusted by the community to do business with them. He lives with a strong sense of faith and is a member of the First United Methodist Church. Each day he makes decisions and performs actions that align with his beliefs. He takes pride in being honest and trustworthy and can be counted on. He contributes to his community through charities such as Room Redux and Wounded Warriors. He has volunteered in the Little League Baseball and Softball nonprofit organization through coaching, serving on the board of directors, and by managing regional tournaments. When Brandan is not leading the charge at Heritage Homes Custom Builder, he is active in both cooking and judging in BBQ competitions, golf, saltwater fishing, dove hunting, and building furniture and cabinetry.
